Glutathione (GSH) is the tripeptide gamma-glutamyl-cysteinyl-glycine and the most abundant intracellular antioxidant in mammalian cells. Research characterises it as the central redox buffer: the GSH/GSSG ratio is the canonical readout of cellular oxidative state, and glutathione is a required cofactor for glutathione peroxidases and S-transferases in hepatic phase-II detoxification studies. This 1500mg vial is a high-capacity line extension for research requiring larger working volumes or higher concentrations than the standard vial; the underlying compound and research context are identical.
